Before and After School Care (BASC) provides a supporting and inclusive learning environment for boys enrolled in Transition (Cubs and Lions) through to Year 6 that require additional hours of care before and after school as well as during the school holidays. The dedicated educators provide a stimulating, hands-on and play based learning program which is guided by your son’s interests, ideas and imagination.

Hours of Operation

Before School Care: 7:00am to 8:30am – Monday to Friday

After School Care: 3:00pm to 6:00pm – Monday to Friday

After School Care – after Scots Extra Activities: 4:30pm to 6:00pm – Monday to Friday

Scots Extracurricular Activities (SEA) are only offered to Kindergarten to Year 6 students after school hours. Parents can book BASC for their son/s after a SEA program.

Vacation Care: 7:00am to 6:00pm – Monday to Friday during school holidays

Bookings

To enrol your son in BASC please visit www.thescotscollegebasc.com.au to register an account and complete the enrolment form. To create an account, click on the ‘register’ button under ‘my Family Lounge’ located to the right of the home page to set up your login.

Permanent Bookings – this is a recurring booking for the same session/s and day/s of the week. Cancellations or change of permanent bookings require two weeks’ notice in advance.

Casual Bookings – these are various or single days that do not recur in a pattern. Bookings can be made in advance or before 2:30pm on the day, by booking on the BASC website.

Emergency Care – this is care is provided when there is no BASC booking for a student, and they have not been collected at the conclusion of the school day. The Scots College will contact the student’s parents or emergency contact to organise immediate care with BASC.

Location

BASC is available to boys enrolled in The Scots College from Transition to Year 6.

Cubs, Lions and Kindergarten are located on the Early Learning Centre campus at 7 Mansion Road, Bellevue Hill.

Year 2 to Year 6 are located on the Junior Preparatory campus at 8 Mansion Road, Bellevue Hill.

Fees

Fees are charged based on the type of booking (permanent, casual or vacation care) and vary depending on pick up time. More information will be provided upon booking.

William Elder

1927-2010

Mr Alan Elder was born in Scotland and migrated to Australia with his parents at a young age. He attended The Scots College for all his schooling, graduating in 1944. He played 1st XI Cricket and was a member of the College Cadet Unit. After leaving school Mr Elder studied accountancy and retained a life-long love of the College, especially the Pipes and Drums. Mr Elder never married, however the significant bequest he left will allow his Scots family to remember him through the Lang Walker Business Centre.
