Ways of Giving
Donations
Donations are welcome at any time and membership to the Foundation is granted to all donors of $5,000 or more. The Foundation offers different forms of recognition dependent on the level of the gift. Membership of the Foundation is for a period of six years after a donor's most recent gift.
Bequests
A bequest is a gift specified within your will which provides a way for you to make a lasting gift to something you care about. By making a bequest to The Scots College you can retain the use and enjoyment of your assets during your lifetime and still provide a valuable gift to the College in the future.
Your gift is a very personal decision and there are a variety of ways in which you can make a contribution to the College.
Your solicitor will be able to advise the best way of including a bequest to The Scots College Foundation when you are drafting your will. If you have already made your will, you can add a codicil to include the Foundation - a simple and inexpensive procedure.
The Aspinall Society has been established to honour and recognise, in their lifetime, those who have remembered the College in their wills.
How will my donation or bequest be used?
All donations and bequests to the Foundation are used exclusively to benefit The Scots College. You can direct your donation or bequest to one of three funds in the Foundation:
Scholarship Fund - to provide scholarships and bursaries for boys whose presence will add to the richness and diversity of the student body but whose family financial situations would otherwise prevent them from attending the College.
Building Fund - to provide for ongoing capital works projects and acquisitions in support of the College Master Plan and to ensure world-class facilities.
Education Fund - to provide grants to the College to enhance the educational environment at the College.
Donations to the Foundation's Building Fund and Scholarship Fund are tax deductible.
