Scots boy Kenneth Miles' (18) new invention -the 'Vac Sac' vaccine cooler - is a finalist for the ABC's The New Inventors People's Choice Award - prestigious nomination awarded to only five new inventors.

Scots boys are set for the International Rugby Tour consisting of seven matches against three nations, Ireland, England and Wales. This year will also mark Scots College’s Director of Sports Graeme Dedrick’s final tour with the Australian Schools Rugby Union Squad.

The Scots College Old Boys proved that they still have what it takes in the Rugby and Rowing stakes winning gold in the Sydney World Masters Games held 10 to 17 October. 

The Scots College was selected as the only Australian school to be featured at the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference (HMC) being held at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool, UK from October 5-8, 2009.

The Scots College's Preparatory and Senior Schools are defending national champions, winning the National Interschool Snowsports Championships. 

There were great celebrations in Centennial Park on Saturday 5 September when The Scots College, Sydney, won the Open Athletic Association of Great Public Schools (AAGPS) Cross Country Premiership for the first time. 

Independent Sydney boys' school, The Scots College, has a long and proud history with the sport of Rugby and the College will soon be adding another name to the list of students who have gone on to play at an elite level.

Scots boy Henry McCoy has won the Senior Secondary Short Film section of the Woollahra Council Youth Photographic Award with his HSC Visual Art Major Work Beyond the Sublime.

Scots boy Jack Bailey (16) has been selected from around 2,000 applicants as one of four finalists for the National Youth Concerto Competition. 

Jacob Woodhouse (18), Greg Peterson (17) and Richard Quigley (18), senior students at The Scots College from the 1stttt XV Rugby team, have been selected for the Australian Schools Rugby Union Squads.
